Traditional Splendour - Waxed Oak Furniture. Country Oak is a range of traditionally styled pieces made from American White Oak. Produced in the UK it has a choice of three finishes and two handles. Each of the finishes enhance the grain of the wood, and give the choice of a silky sheen (satin), smooth matt (waxed) or textured velvet (oiled) finish. The wood is specially chosen with knots and cracks to create a deliberately rustic feel and appearance. The drawers and tops are slightly rounded on the edges to add a gentle touch. Designed and made to be durable Country Oak is made from solid wood and selected oak veneers and features dovetailed drawers, sturdy plinths, internal lighting in the glazed cabinets and toughened glass shelves. A modern take on traditional furniture styling and construction it will continue to enhance any home for many years to come. A durable silky lacquer is applied giving maximum durability and a modern finish which is smooth to the touch and has a silky sheen.	A wax is applied to give a naturally textured lustre, with a traditional finish and feel.	A Danish oil is applied giving a matt finish which highlights the natural grain of the wood and retains the warm natural character and feel of the oak. Occasional re-oiling may be required.
